The Best Looks From Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week!

1 | Ralph & Russo
Inspired by their recent trip to Asia, Ralph & Russo’s S/S 18 collection explored hand-painted motifs, embellished crystals, ombre fringing, tassels and colorful jacquards that were reminiscent of their time spent in Tokyo and Seoul. And the finale…one for the books! My babe Camila Coelho graced the runway in the most gorgeous bridal gown embedded with 3-D Swarovski jeweled leaves, silk flowers, metallic embellishments, and a draped bodice!
2 | Christian Dior
Christian Dior made his show into a surrealist dream at this years Haute Couture Week. The whole show was centered around black and white, including the venue which had dramatic white curtains, huge bird cages, and white anatomical sculptures hanging from the ceiling. The show started off with his surrealist-inspired looks; checkered patterns, architectural swirls, monochrome outfits and then transitioned into red-carpet gowns featuring a lighter color palette in lavender, olive, and neutrals.
3 | Elie Saab
Elie Saab killed the runway for her S/S 18 collection. Think feathered details, oversized bows, beaded-to-perfection embellishments, and a beautiful color palette featuring champagnes, silvery blues, and metallics. Inspired by 1920s Paris, Saab incorporated retroelements such as short hemlines, modern shapes, and using beading over sheer linings.
4 | Zuhair Murad
Zuhair Murad has always been one of my favorite designers and does embroidery and beadwork like no other!! This season, his collection was an inspiration by “ancient tribes, notably the Sioux, the Navajos, and the Iroquois,” according to show notes. Classic ball gowns were taken to a new level and embroidered with arrows, cacti, and eagles..drawing inspiration from Native American culture.
5 | Giambattista Valli
Once again, Giambattista Valli turned his S/S 18 show into a real-life fairytale, with silky chiffons, crystal bows, and embroidered tulle. And for the finale..three “powder-puff” dresses with a pretty color palette featuring shades of peach, lime, and sugarplum-pink!
So many amazing collections this Couture fashion week!! Which ones were your favorite?!
